It’s been a busy Hurricane Season in the Lowcountry, but Redcap is here to help
Our crews are out there still picking up storm debris from Hurricane Helene. And as we are driving through town, there is still plenty to be picked up. Whether it’s this storm or the next one, give us a call and we’ll remove any downed branches, leaves, and moss from your yard.
Owner Jeff Tillapaugh on 10 years of Redcap
In honor of Redcap recently celebrating 10 years of business, we asked some of our earliest members to share some of their favorite moments. Today, owner Jeff Tillapaugh shares his thoughts: |
What is your most memorable experience at Redcap?“When we started Redcap, we had just sold our restaurant and we came up with the concept for a new business on a gut feeling that there was a need in the community that wasn’t being met. We have adapted over the last ten years based on listening to our customers and have cut some services and added others we couldn’t have foreseen. When we look back years from now, I think what will stick with us is that our team has built something that has really met a need in our community and resonated with customers. We have a solid brand and reputation – so much so that people think we are a franchise and ask if there’s a Redcap where they’re relocating!” What is the craziest job you’ve done working at Redcap?“We’ve had a lot of major house clean outs that were unpleasant, overwhelming, or both. Probably the most unusual job was moving 15 big game trophies (including one very ferocious lion). We love that our customers feel comfortable calling us with all kinds of requests: we even got one early on asking if we styled hair! Thankfully for her, that was one job we said no to!” What has been your favorite part about working at Redcap?“The variety of jobs and the satisfaction of knowing that we’ve helped take care of our customers, hopefully making their lives easier.” |
